Thomas Street Project - Manchester
Contract Requirement
Produce four verified views following standards outlined in the Verified Views Methodology document taken from agreed locations around the Thomas Street project.
Project Details
Warp and Weft NQ is located on Thomas Street in Manchester's trendy Northern Quarter. It will be a New-York style mixed-use scheme that will include restaurant and retail property at ground and basement level and a selection of bespoke one, two and three bedroom apartments above.
The building has a rich history; located on 42-50 Thomas Street, it is within the Smithfield Conservation Area and dates back to pre-1793 when it was first used as workers' housing. The building comprises listed structures which are to be retained and brought back to life and aims to use simple forms and a simple palette of materials such as exposed concrete and load bearing brick to reflect the raw industrial heritage of the area.
Delivered Images
The following images were created as the baseline photography for the verified views used to support part of the Thomas Street planning application. The requirement was for early morning shots before the streets became crouded so that the fronts of the buildings on Thomas Street can be seen unobstructed. Images 2 & 4 were captured very early and then re-shot as images 3 & 5 once the elevations were in sunlight and still clearly visible.
